Doug and Linda's Junction Ride 5/4
May 4, 2018Long route8 am ride off from the Rodeway InnStart with an easy 10 miles to Segovia, then get quite challenging for the next 55 miles as we'll ride on hwy 479 to just out of Harper, then hwy 385 north to hwy 377. Lunch stop in London (with the short route riders). After lunch, it is a flat ride back to Junction on hwy 377 with the short route riders. Sag support will have water and snacks for on the road refueling. (92 miles)Modified long route8 am ride off from the Rodeway InnRide out on the same route as the standard long route for all the climbing you can stand, then sag to London for lunch. Finish by riding back (18 miles) with the group to Junction. Those wishing to do this ride is limited to room in the sag vehicle (3-4 riders depending on the quality of their friendship).Short route10 am ride off from the Rodeway InnAn easy out and back ride to London on hwy 377 following the Llano river valley. The ride back with the long route group. (38 miles).Those wanting to pick up some "bonus miles" could turn on hwy 385 to meet the long route group coming to London.After ride refreshments, lies, and then dinner at Doug and Linda Randel's place at Segovia.Dinner at 6 pm on Saturday night (brisket)Hanging out, floating river, fishing. Simply beautiful ride/drive. Ride off from our house or the gate into our house at the hwy.Road, starting in Junction to the Segovia truck stop for breakfast and back on FM 2169, 24 miles. Ride off from the Rodeway Inn.10 non-smoking rooms have been blocked off for our group (PBBA) at the Rodeway Inn of Junction at $52/night plus tax.
