OMBP Work Day 6/16

We are having a work day at the Odessa Mountain Bike Park this Saturday, June 16th.  We plan to get started at 7:30 a.m. and will work until about noon.  Anyone that can come a volunteer for an hour or two would be appreciated.  Our goal is to complete the dirt work on the Perimeter trail.  We are building this trail to accommodate beginner riders, families, warm up laps and to provide a smoother alternative for cyclo-cross riders.   We think this will also be a great option for  road riders that want an entry level trail to try out mountain biking.

We will be putting rocks along the edge of the trail and  will paint the rocks to keep riders on the right route.  We will then ride the trail to pack it down so consider bringing your bike too.

 

Please remember to bring gloves, eye protection, sun screen, and a hat.   We have a lot of tools but feel free to bring a shovel, rake, hoe, or clippers capable of cutting back the mesquite.
